Visual Journal # 11. Indoor Zoom Photo

Crescent

This photo of mine in no way shape or form, am I considering it a piece of art, my canvas is a paper and pencil/pen. If I were to describe it would say its non-objective. It has partial shapes but nothing complete, and the blur of the camera’s zoom adds to mystic of it. I love that its “bright colors making it feel energetic and gestural, but its minimal something you could hang in a business office maybe almost abstract expressionistic. I love that this one was the one that “clicked” for me out of all the others I would of picked first, that in insightful.

Visual Journal # 15. ARH2000 Class Memories

I loved and truly enjoyed the class, thought  I may not have had the best grades, which completely falls on me. I really loved the class I was suspicious that I was going to get a boring, monotone, uncaring teacher making us take notes and tests every week but when I saw that picture of Orlan, I was hooked, you love what you do, that’s one thing I actually envy, so I thank you for introducing me to visual art.

I feel as if I’m walking in rain, all alone in the rain, This painting makes me ask myself why do I feel so alone…and it pains me, that a piece such as this makes me reflect on my life and how I feel. I am not agreeing with this feeling let alone want to think about it, so this painting was emotional for me but…its always nice to find thigs like this..things that make you think, strike a feeling, makes you wonder..i liked this one piece, made me feel as if I was looking at a mirror.

Visual Journal # 13. Random Color

I  typed in “red artwork”.

Red Poppies

Red Poppies

I really liked this painting, it reminded me of the chapter of impressionistic Artwork it gives you just enough info to see what it is but not completely clear and I liked it. It’s dynamic, beautiful painting. It is so vibrant and full of life, feels like the colors are bursting off the canvas, I especially love that texture it has, overall this was a beautiful painting made with the color red, honestly when I typed red as the color, I was hoping for some blood something violent but this was nice.

Visula Journal # 12. Art Film Trailer

Surviving Picasso (1996) – About the artist & his muses

I could not provide a picture like you assignment asked from the trailer but I did see a glimpse of Guernica but if that counts as a  picture

It was interesting didn’t know there was a movie/biography on Picasso, let alone know that Sir Anthony Hopkins was in it, sounds good but hesitantly thinking about watching it . The thing that bothers me a little bit that in the movie they show you nothing of Picasso’s work or paintings but its more based on his personal life, interesting premise but will need more for me to take interest, they do have a lot of the muses in Picasso’s life maybe I could finally learn that “indifference” to women you mentioned in cubism work.

Visual Journal # 9. Random Art Find (based on a feeling)

I typed in depressive artwork, since artwork depressive was not working for me,

This piece is called “Depressed” by Gianfranco Ferlazzo

Depressed

My first and second Artwork are very similar cause I’m usually in the same indifferent or depress mood. The only reason I picked that piece is cause I can take his face out and put in mine, not much other reason I have nothing more to add to it, other then it describes exactly how I feel as of late, well at least I’m not alone.

Visula Journal # 8. Art 21/New York Close Up

Liz Magic Laser Talk To The Hand

I personally loved this piece, it relates to one of my hobbies, I love studying and learning more about psychology, and body language is essential to that. I felt enlighten like a small child watching it for the first time. It shows the significant different from Bush’s early tries to Obama’s perfected gestures, like Liz Magic Laser says Obama might as well have been using American sign language. I was also surprised that President Reagan never used hand gestures nor did any of the presidents before or after until George H.W. Bush. So from the days of Bush to Obama politicians have turned into great performers, I just wonder how much their performances have affected our thoughts, feeling about them…something to wonder about.
